Blue is the colour of the season

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS OF 2012

CHELSEA FC!!!

It was indeed a glorious performance by Chelsea. The sheer scale of achievement against the seemingly insurmountable odds is breathtaking. It was first in against Barcelona and now Bayern Munich.

DROGBA, the star player of the match (at least to me he is) has left a lasting legacy. From hero to zero and to hero yet again.

Im not the craziest football fan out there, if anything I’m pretty new to it. It all started off with FIFA’12 which I picked up over at my friend’s place. Chelsea has been my favourite team to play, and it was then that I was introduced to the world of football. Gradually, I started watching football matches in the pub, the stadium and even bought jerseys for several club.

Bought it when I went stamford bridge to catch a match Chelsea vs Stoke. This jersey is definitely the best buy for the season.

and yes, my favourite player happens to be Drogba. No doubt a good striker, he is also one dramatic actor on the football pitch, but oh wells, I came to conclude that drama class was part of their football career. Look at players like Dani Alves, Segio and Ronaldo. That’s just part of the play. ((:

I admit I have done many things wrong. I let people down, I was selfish and childish. Initially I thought coming over the Manchester can help me get away with it, say maybe start afresh. But I know I will have to face it someday, and when the day comes, I will not walk away.

Many people remember a fallen soldier as a person in uniform. Sometimes that soldier is the four legged friend who saved your life by being a bomb-sniffing dog and finding the IED and warns you about it before it explodes. This is a sad but beautiful picture of pure respect for 2 fallen heroes

Poker night

Went to York again yesterday, but this time I did not just tour the city (I didn’t tour at all actually), I headed straight to their designer outlet. I was on a shopping spree, and got a few stuff for my family and friends as well. Body shop had some crazy discount going on, 4 items and you’d get 40% discount. I bought a big shower gel for only 3.5 pounds! In the midst of shopping, I also caught up with the bidding of TV from ebay. Yes I do shop in ebay. It was a 50” plasma tv, AND WE WON THE BID! and that is gonna cost us 230. Now im still thinking where to put such a huge tv in the puny lil living room.

My brother actually called me yesterday, it was euphoric. It may be a normal call for any other siblings out there, but definitely not for me. It was a simple call, just telling me about his day and me sharing mine, but beyond those words was a sense of comfort, where at least I know there is still channels for us to talk despite all that happened.

So back to york. I hurried back to the city and head straight for Betty’s. It is like the highlight of my trip.. THE BUTTER COOKIES. Thank god the shop was still opened and i actually cleared their stock for butter cookies. :D Now i might suffer from diabetes at home.

Arrived home late due to train delay. Checked the mailbox and TEKKAN 6 arrived!! Brought it along with me to Chayo’s place for poker so that we can play. Luck was really on my side yesterday. Im sorry to clear off your chips Jeti, it was just too good a card. I won 2 rounds of poker :D :D Friday night is the usual poker night for us, and my mini source of income HAH. Then again, it is always the company that matters. Hitched a ride home with Bill and collapsed on bed.

This reading week had been quite fruitful. Mugged hard, play hard. The only other thing I can ask for is to get approval for internships. Other then that… PEACEOUT! back in Singapore on 16 Dec :D

Busy me Busy me

I have been away for awhile! Been busy busy busy with ..

1. Badminton!
I got into the University Badminton Team. Lucky lucky me. It was quite a tough bit since the team made it into premiere league last year, so we needa double up on training. Leeds Met and Birm are really competitive.

2. Laptop Broke down.
The hinge on my laptop was sorta broken when I left Singapore, I refuse to change it cuz I thought maybe taping will do the magic. What happened was that the hinge cracked my screen!! so about one-fifth of it was white. I tried to shift the icons and windows towards the visible side and the next day, three-quarter of it went black. I asked around and it is gonna cost me about 150 pounds to get both the hinge and the screen fixed, so I’m actually contemplating on getting a new laptop instead. Mac? Windows? I havent really thought of it.

3. BUZZY SCHEDULE
Year 2’s timetable can be pretty shitty as compared to year one. A compact 10-6pm lectures, and some just 1hr a day. There is alot of reading to do and I’m proud to say as of now, Im still on track!! I mean I have always been behind schedule, let alone being ahead, so now that Im on track, it’s quite an effort from me, KEEP IT UP!

Reading week has officially commenced, and since Im only at the start of the reading week, I have plans on making it a fruitful one. Then again, it’s just plans, absolutely different from how it is gonna be when acted upon. So before I start to laze around again, I’d better draft the week out.

PEACEOUT!
